Nestled quietly in the Alleghany Plateau Region of Centre County, Pennsylvania along the north side of the Bald Eagle Ridge is the municipality of Boggs Township. Incorporated in 1814, Boggs Township is a Township of the Second-Class and operates under the guidelines of the Second Class Township Code, Act of May 1, 1933 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A three member Board of Supervisors elected by the registered voters of Boggs Township governs Boggs Township. Boggs Township encompasses 55.6 square miles with a population of 2835 people.

Rich in natural resources, Boggs Township prides itself on its vast State Game Lands and the presence of Exceptional Fishing Area, including Wallace Run and the Bald Eagle Creek. The primary land use in Boggs Township is forested land followed by agriculture, representing the many producing farms located in the area. Commercial and Industrial Land uses are located largely along the corridors of US Route 220 and Interstate 80, exit 158 interchange and at their intersection of each other.
